I am Teacher Yoga and I have 15 years of tutoring experience. I teach both primary and secondary school students. I have many testimonials from grateful parents who appreciated how I helped their children improve their academic performance on exams. As an Indian, I can communicate and explain in Tamil, so I can assist students from SJKT who are struggling with language in secondary school. My specialization subject is Mathematics. I am also able to teach Microsoft Office Applications and basic designing using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Teaching Method(s)
For the past few years, I've been a tutor for online and in-person students. I don't limit myself to one teaching approach or another. There's a time and place for in-person tutorials, and then other times when the best method is via an online platform. It all depends on the learner, the subject, and the goals. I believe I can adjust my teaching style to most situations so long as there's a connection between us.
For me, it's all about helping the learner see how they can apply the subject in the real world. There are plenty of things you'll never use. And there are plenty more that may make a difference in some aspect of your life. So, the point is, my preferred teaching method is to explain the subject in a way that it connects with daily living. If a subject is just random facts, that's fine. I can teach that. But I prefer to demonstrate, however briefly, where and how these lessons will relate to something in the learner's life.
