I am currently a Law student. I have completed my SPM and STPM in science stream, and have obtained A/A+ in all the subjects that I am willing to teach. I have practiced many learning techniques that aid me in retaining the information which I have learnt, which I will be implementing in my classes. I also have 2 years of experience as a tuition teacher after my STPM. All of my students have received a grade of B+ and above for their examinations. As a teacher, I would describe myself as innovative and flexible, as I teach students on a pace they they are comfortable with and using methods that are effective for them.
Teaching Method(s)
First, I would evaluate the student's level by giving them 3-4 questions on increasing difficulty level. For science subjects, I will show them carefully selected videos to enhance their understanding on the chapter. I will then proceed by showing them how to solve a question by myself. Later, I will give the student questions to test their understanding, and I will mark it in front of them so that they will learn from their mistakes. For languages, I will provide them with vocabulary exercises, grammar-checking questions, and methods to write essays to obtain optimum results. At the end of the classes, I will give them extra questions and my phone number so that they can contact me anytime if they have a question. As for Art, I will show students my personal techniques and methods so that they can implement it in their tasks.
