My name is Aina Munirah, commonly known by my students as Teacher Mun. I hold a Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language and am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in the same field.My professional experience includes serving as a substitute English teacher at SMK Seksyen 9, Shah Alam. Additionally, I have held the position of assistant coordinator for a Cambridge English program at Karisma Mutiara, a private school in Manjung.
Both roles has allowed me to developed the ability to adapt lesson plans and align them with curriculum standards based on students' proficiency levels. Moreover, they also refine my skills in coordinating educational programs and ensuring the delivery of high-quality English education.
I have also acquired valuable experience through part-time roles as an event coordinator for Party Paradise and major marathons such as Standard Charter (SCKLM) and Malaysia Women's Marathon (MWM). These roles have enhanced my organizational and communication abilities in both academic and professional environments.
I am quick to adapt to challenges, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and well-versed in utilizing educational platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, and Kahoot!.
I am familiar with curriculum standards for both primary and secondary schools, particularly the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Hence, I am able to tailor a student's English lessons based on their need and preference.
Teaching Method(s)
My teaching style is a balance of friendliness and firmness, promoting open dialogue and encouraging questions to enhance students' learning.I encourage the use of gadgets and online resources in my lesson as it introduces students to a plethora of references and be familiar to a more globalise contents.
I also prefer to use more hands on exercises and practice drills for speaking skills.
