My preferred nickname is Maria, and I have a few months of teaching experience in teaching kids of age between 7-12 years old. I teach Economics to Form 4 and Form 5 students, and also cover Science for students from Form 1 to Form 5. I possess key teaching skills that enhance the learning experience, including effective communication, simplifying complex concepts, and strong classroom management. I communicate clearly, engaging students through questions and discussions to ensure understanding. I simplify challenging topics by breaking them down and using analogies, visual aids, and real-life examples for better retention. Additionally, my classroom management skills help create a focused and respectful learning environment by setting expectations, establishing routines, and addressing disruptions effectively. While I haven't yet achieved my greatest accomplishment, I am dedicated to gaining more teaching experience and equipping my students with the knowledge they need to excel academically. The teaching methods I provide include Direct Instruction, where I take a teacher-centered approach by presenting information in a clear and structured manner, often using lectures or demonstrations to ensure students grasp the content. I also utilize Discussion-Based Learning, engaging students in conversations that allow them to express their ideas, ask questions, and share different perspectives, which helps to deepen their understanding. Additionally, I incorporate Gamification in my teaching, using game elements such as rewards, challenges, and competition to motivate students and make the learning experience more enjoyable and interactive.Subject
