I have experience in providing private online tutoring, focusing mainly on Bahasa Melayu (BM). I teach primary to secondary students, as well as IGCSE Malay as a Foreign Language.
I have several specific teaching skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and clear manner, personalize lessons according to students’ individual needs, closely monitor students’ progress to ensure continuous improvement, and create engaging lessons that keep students motivated.
One of my proudest achievements this year is seeing all my students improve their UASA results. In addition, five of my students from international schools sat for the IGCSE Malay Foreign Language examination in May 2025, and four of them achieved an A+.
I look forward to guiding and supporting more students in achieving their academic goals with confidence.
Teaching Method(s)
To ensure students truly understand what is taught, I use a step-by-step approach by breaking down complex concepts into simpler parts. I am confident that providing what students need is more effective than delivering what the tutor prefers, as every learner has different learning needs and abilities. Therefore, lessons are personalized according to each student’s learning pace, with regular checks through questions, short exercises, and feedback.
To help students achieve good results, I focus on all sections of the examination papers, including Tatabahasa (Grammar), Pemahaman (Reading Comprehension), Peribahasa (Idioms/Proverbs), Penulisan (Writing), as well as Mendengar dan Bertutur (Listening and Speaking). I guide students to understand question requirements, identify keywords, using proper answering techniques, and manage their time effectively. I also provide targeted practice, analyze students’ mistakes, and guide them on how to improve their answers based on marking schemes and examiner expectations.
