About Me
I have over 9 years of teaching experience, with a diverse background that spans different educational levels. My teaching journey began in 2013 when I worked as a substitute Mathematics teacher at MRSM Lenggong, Perak, covering for a teacher on maternity leave for 2 months.
After completing my Master's degree, I took on a part-time Mathematics tutor role at the IB Diploma Programme at Malay College Kuala Kangsar, where I taught for 7 months.
Following that, I served as a Mathematics Lecturer at KYS Business School in Ayer Keroh for 7 years. During my tenure, I taught a variety of courses to students in both the Foundation in Commerce and Bachelor in Commerce (Year 1) programs. The courses I taught included Statistics, Algebra, Calculus, Business Mathematics, and Mathematics for Economics and Finance.
Throughout my career, I have developed strong teaching skills and a deep commitment to helping students succeed in mathematics. I am passionate about making complex topics more accessible and engaging for learners at all levels.
Teaching Method(s)
My teaching approach in mathematics focuses on building a strong foundation of understanding by progressively working through examples and problems of increasing difficulty. I begin with simple problems to ensure students grasp the core concept, and then gradually introduce more complex examples to deepen their understanding. By walking students through each step of the solution process and encouraging them to attempt similar problems, I help them develop both confidence and problem-solving skills. I believe that practice is key to mastering mathematical concepts, so I provide plenty of opportunities for students to practice on their own, offering guidance and feedback when needed to ensure they fully understand the material.
