Teaching Method(s)
As a professional educator in Malaysia, I aim to create an inclusive and interactive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of my students. I employ a combination of teacher-centered and student-centered approaches, beginning each lesson with a clear explanation of the learning objectives. While I use direct instruction to introduce key concepts and provide foundational knowledge, I actively involve students through group discussions, collaborative activities, and problem-solving tasks. This approach not only helps students understand the content but also encourages critical thinking and deeper engagement with the material. I also integrate technology where appropriate, using digital tools, online platforms, and multimedia resources to enhance learning, making it more interactive and aligned with 21st-century skills.
In addition, I prioritize continuous assessment and feedback to ensure that every student progresses and reaches their potential. I frequently use formative assessments such as quizzes, class polls, and peer evaluations to gauge student understanding and adjust my teaching methods accordingly. By providing timely and constructive feedback, I encourage self-reflection and growth. Recognizing the diverse backgrounds of students in Malaysia, I incorporate culturally responsive teaching practices, ensuring that lessons are relevant and sensitive to the multicultural context of the classroom. Ultimately, my goal is to foster a positive, dynamic learning environment where students feel motivated, supported, and empowered to take ownership of their education.
