About Me

Hi, I’m Niroshinee, but I prefer to be called Miss Niro. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education (TESL). I have been teaching English to lower secondary students (Form 1-3) in a secondary school for the past three years.
My special skills include utilising online teaching tools rather than relying solely on traditional methods. Additionally, I have attended a professional workshop on creating UASA examination papers for the English subject, which has made me well-versed in the latest exam format. I have also served as an SPM interlocutor for the past two years, giving me a strong familiarity with the SPM Speaking format.

Teaching Method(s)

I incorporate digital tools such as Kahoot, Quizizz and Google Classroom to create a more dynamic and engaging learning experience. To ensure students develop a strong understanding of the material, I emphasise the use of formative assessments, including quizzes, reflections, and class discussions. My teaching approach focuses on the four key language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while also reinforcing grammatical accuracy to enhance students' overall communication abilities. I integrate interactive activities and real-world applications to help students apply these skills with confidence. As the ultimate objective is for students to perform well in their examinations, I teach exam-specific strategies, including time management, understanding question patterns, and practising past papers.
