My area specializations are:
i) Additional Mathematics (DLP & Bahasa Melayu)
- mastery of the 10 compulsory topics in the SPM Paper. Eg differentiation and integration.
- discover the strength topics (either in calculus or statistics).
- step-by-step easy calculation and derivation without solely depending on the formula.
ii) Mathematics (DLP & Bahasa Melayu)
For primary school:
- basic arithmetics skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- the ability to convert fractions to percentages to decimals is basic.
- quick method to remember multiplication tables and easy technique for division.
For secondary school:
- basic arithmetics skills; square, square root, cube, cube root, index, and exponential.
- the ability to use algebra and understand consumer mathematics is a must.
- explain the importance of consumer mathematics as a relevant and useful topic in many areas of adult life.
iii) Tajwid and Fardhu Ain
- simple mnemonic for tajwid.
- interesting story and ibrah for seerah.
- applying for adab and fekah in real life.
Teaching Method(s)
These are a part of my strategies that will be implemented during the learning session:
- Shifting the mindset that topics or subjects are perceived as easy is crucial before mastering answering techniques. (Graduated Exposure)
- Encouraging students to understand the fundamental syllabus of the subject.
- Placing more emphasis on the concept behind each question, rather than focusing solely on answer schemes/ formulas.
- Providing a more student-centered learning environment to encourage students to be more independent and seek answers for themselves.
- Combining conventional teaching methods with digitized learning ways (flashcards/ quizzes/ Kahoot/ Wordwall).
The pre-exams are held about 2 weeks prior to the school’s examination to prepare students for their upcoming exams.
