My name is Hafiq. I graduated with a First Class Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and am currently working as a Project & Production Engineer in the manufacturing industry. My academic journey has always been driven by excellence. I achieved straight A’s in SPM and was awarded Best Student for both Additional Mathematics and Modern Mathematics for two consecutive years in Form 4 and Form 5. These achievements, along with the problem-solving and communication skills I apply in my career, make me confident in teaching secondary school students in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, and Science. In addition, I am also able to support students in English to strengthen their overall academic performance.
Teaching Method(s)
In my teaching, I emphasize clarity and step-by-step explanations, ensuring students understand the core concepts before moving to advanced applications. I enjoy using real-life examples to make lessons more engaging and relatable, especially in subjects like Mathematics and Physics where students often struggle to see practical relevance. To help students excel academically, I focus on exam-oriented techniques such as structured answering methods, time management strategies, and targeted practice with past papers. I also adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning preferences — whether through visual aids, problem-solving drills, or interactive discussions — so that every student feels confident, motivated, and capable of scoring well.
