I’m Revathy and currently working as an Editor for a UK company. During my off work hours, I tutor school children who need my help in English. I’ve tutored for the past 15 years. I was a lecturer and a language instructor for about 7 years before I changed career. But that has never stopped me from teaching students from all walks of life - as young as 5 to as old as 60. Currently, I am teaching students from 4 years old to 16 years old.
Teaching Method(s)
I always go for student centred approach. We talk and write and we even play language games. For weaker students, if they know Malay or Tamil, sometimes I use these languages to help. Ultimately, it’s using whatever methods that work with the student’s style and preference, and what they engage with the most.
