Hello and good day! I am known as Ms Farah. I am an experienced English teacher with a background in both public and international school settings. I have taught English as a Second Language and First Language English for IGCSE syllabus and KSSR English. I am very patient with leaners from any education background. I have an understanding on how to approach shy learners by engaging them with games or educational entertainment. English is a fun subject and all I want to share the joy with everyone.
Teaching Method(s)
My teaching approach is structured yet flexible. I will ensure my students stay engaged and actively participate in lessons. I focus on interactive learning, using games, discussions, and real-world applications to make learning meaningful. My lessons follow a clear structure; starting with an introduction, followed by guided practice, independent work, and reflection. I encourage critical thinking and independent learning, guiding my students rather than just giving answers. To cater to different proficiency levels, I adjust my lesson content and activities as needed. I use a communicative approach to help students practice English naturally and task-based learning to apply language skills in real-life situations. I also provide support through scaffolding, gradually reducing assistance as students gain confidence. Inquiry-based learning is another key part of my teaching, where I encourage students to ask questions, research, and present their findings. I integrate technology through digital tools, videos, and online resources to enhance learning. My goal is to help students not only improve their English skills but also build confidence and develop a love for learning.
