My name is Nurin Aqilah Binti Abdul Jalil. I am a TESL trainee teacher from IPG Kampus Tun Hussein Onn with experience conducting various English classroom activities, including during my practicum. I have worked with primary-level pupils, focusing on developing their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through engaging and student-centered lessons. I also take Science as my elective subject and am willing to teach Science classes in addition to English. I am very passionate about supporting students' growth in both language and content subjects in a positive learning environment.
Teaching Method(s)
I use a student-centered and interactive approach in my teaching. I incorporate a variety of worksheets, hands-on activities, games, and visual aids (depends on suitable topic) to suit different learning styles and keep pupils engaged. I believe in creating a fun, safe, and positive classroom environment where students feel confident to participate and express themselves. During lessons, I often use simple instructions, clear modeling, and scaffolding techniques to help students understand and apply new language structures. I also prioritize formative assessment through observation and class participation to track progress and adjust my teaching accordingly.
