I possess a solid background in infrastructure design, building, and maintenance and am a committed and meticulous graduate of civil engineering. My internships have given me practical experience in both construction and offshore infrastructure projects, and I hold a Bachelor's and Diploma in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). I have strong technical abilities and am proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project. I am also fluent in Malay, English, and basic Mandarin. I am flexible, open to travelling, and excited to help with worthwhile engineering and educational initiatives that support sustainable growth.
Teaching Method(s)
My teaching approach is well-suited to visual and interactive learning, as I have experience with tools like Microsoft Project and AutoCAD, which prioritise visual planning and structured design. This experience allows me to convert intricate or abstract mathematical and scientific concepts into visual formats that are more easily comprehensible for students. For example, I can use real-world examples, such as bridges or road structures, to make the lessons more relatable by incorporating diagrams, charts, or simple illustrations to illustrate topics such as geometry or physics. Furthermore, I have the ability to incorporate PowerPoint animations and drawing tools into my lectures in order to improve engagement and accommodate various learning styles.
Quizzes and gamification are also effective strategies that I intend to employ, particularly when instructing smaller pupils. The learning process is most effective for children when it is pleasant and rewarding. I can sustain their interest and motivation by transforming maths exercises into engaging, timed games or challenges. I also employ online platforms like Kahoot and Quizizz, or I construct physical flashcards, to reinforce knowledge through repetition in a playful manner. I use a point system or stars as rewards for completing tasks or levels to encourage participation, which maintains students' engagement in their learning journey and fosters a sense of achievement.
