My name is Amira, and I am currently furthering my studies in the Diploma Pendidikan Lepasan Ijazah (DPLI) program at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Throughout my time in the program, I have had the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience as a replacement teacher in three different schools over the past six months. These experiences have allowed me to grow both professionally and personally as an educator.

During my teaching placements, I have taught Mathematics to Form 1 students, Science to both Form 4 and Form 5 students, as well as Science to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. These experiences have helped me develop effective teaching strategies tailored to different age groups and learning levels. I have discovered that I am especially strong and passionate in teaching both Science and Mathematics. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts and making them accessible and engaging for my students.

One of my proudest moments as an educator was helping my younger sister improve her Mathematics performance for the SPM examination. When we began, she was struggling with an E grade. Through consistent guidance, practice, and encouragement, she eventually achieved an A — a transformation that reaffirmed my belief in the power of effective teaching and the potential within every student.

My teaching method focuses on practicality, where I relate topics to real-life situations to help students see the relevance of what they are learning. I take the time to explain concepts clearly and step by step, ensuring that no student is left behind. I also try to make my explanations as attractive and interesting as possible by connecting them to everyday experiences or familiar examples. This approach helps students understand complex ideas more easily and builds their confidence in the subject.
