Hello everyone!
1. Name: My name is Cathryn, can call me Miss Cath or Miss Cat.
2. Teaching experience: Although I do not yet have formal teaching experience, I will begin my teaching practicum in a primary school this coming September.
3. Level of teaching: Primary school, but would love to secondary / international schools as well
4. Main subject:: English
5. Additional subjects: I am also interested in assisting with other basic subjects such as Sejarah, Bahasa Melayu or Pendidikan Moral be it at the primary level and secondary level if needed.
6. Special skills:
(i) Strong communication skills in both English and Malay
(ii) Creative in planning interactive learning activities
(iii) Friendly with students and adaptable to new environments
(iv) proficient in using educational technology ( Google Classroom, Powerpoint, Genially, kahoot, etc.)
7. Greatest achievement
My greatest personal achievement so far is being given the opportunity to start my practicum at the age of 29 as an English teacher in a primary school, which I believe is an important step toward fulfilling my dream of becoming an educator and having the opportunity to pursue the career of my dreams.

I enjoy using interactive activities such as language games, role play, and digital quizzes to make learning English or other subjects more engaging. I also like to include songs, short videos, or picture stories to create a lively and friendly classroom environment.
2. Approach to ensure students understand:
I believe every student learns differently. Therefore, I combine simple explanations, step-by-step practice, and the use of visuals or real-life examples to help them grasp concepts more easily. I also encourage students to ask questions and review lessons through casual conversations.

I emphasized consistent practice with exam-style questions, creating colorful, creative short notes, and answering techniques based on keywords. In addition, I guide students on how to manage their time during exams and identify answers more effectively through regular practice.
