Hi. I am Mr. Azhar. I am a passionate English lecturer who wants to help students improve their English proficiency levels through relatable and real-life situations. With over 10 years of experience in the field and a proven track record of success. I am confident in my ability to make a contribution to your team.
Throughout my career as an English Lecturer, I have consistently exceeded expectations and achieved numerous quantifiable successes. In my current role at ICAN College, I am able to increase students’ continuous assessment scores by 20% by implementing rigorous and interactive curriculum that emphasises on interpersonal communication skills and critical thinking, and receives 95.8% passing rate on their English course final examination.
Additionally, I have been recognised for my excellence in teaching by being appointed as Resource Person for several English language courses and Academic Advisor as well. I have also led several English language camps and events with communities around the Klang Valley area.

My teaching method is student-centred learning. I will be using Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) which incorporates the ability to communicate effectively in real-life situations such as roleplays, discussions & priblem- solving activities. I also use the Direct Method (DM), which directly uses and immerses students in English without translation; and Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) where learners learn through completing tasks that require English for a specific purpose.
