About Me
Hello! I’m fondly known as Anis. My students call me Miss/Ustazah Anis. I have 9 months prior of teaching experience. I had to stop due to my commitments with university roles and programs. However, even while I was busy handling events and activities, I felt that teaching had become a part of me. Even during those times, I would often find myself giving lessons to my fellow peers. So, I thought it would be nice to get back on track and teach again. In my day-to-day life, I mostly teach my nephews. From my previous experience, I’ve taught both middle school and high school students. I'm passionate about the English language, which is also my major. I also can teach Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah. In addition, I assist students with Iqra' and Quran recitation, and I also teach the basics of Tajwid. I am pretty good with IT skills. Though my love lies on language, I also love exploring the vast world of technology and digital tools. From my experience, I always utilize my IT skills to incorporate engaging and fun learning session virtually with my students. Since I have experience with both primary and high school students, I also know how to adjust my communication styles to suit different age group of students. Furthermore, I am passionate about teaching and sharing the utmost knowledge that I have to other people. I believe that knowledge is even more meaningful when it is shared. And through that, I always find joy and excitement in helping other people learn and grow as a person. Whether it's guiding students through a lesson or simply explaining a concept to someone who’s curious, I always strive to make learning an engaging and empowering experience. When it comes to my greatest achievement, I am proud to say that it is consistently receiving the Dean’s Award every semester throughout my studies in the Bachelor of English with Communication program, as well as during my Diploma in Islamic Administration. These accomplishments are the result of continuous effort, self-discipline, and a strong passion for learning. Even during my school years, I maintained excellent academic performance and was awarded the Excellent Student Award for both the PT3 and SPM examinations. Each of these achievements not only serves as motivation for me to keep striving forward but also as proof that hard work truly pays off.

Teaching Method(s)
In my past lessons, I often applied interactive and student-centered learning techniques. These include using digital quizzes such as Kahoot, Quizziz/Wayground, Canva, Google Form, language games, as well as group activities like role play and open discussions. I also used additional visual aids and audio materials such as short videos, songs, or movie clips to bring the topic to life and make it easier to understand. These techniques not only capture students' interest but also enhance their understanding of the topic in a more relaxed and enjoyable way. I used the "teach, repeat, and practice" approach. I began by explaining concepts in a brief yet clear manner, then gave students the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions. After that, I reinforced their understanding through exercises, interactive activities or related games. I also applied the "scaffolding" method, which involved providing step-by-step guidance before students worked independently. I always made sure that each student received attention and had the space to ask questions, so that no one was left behind in the learning process.
To help students score well, I taught them several important techniques such as time management during exams, identifying keywords in questions, and using the correct answer format according to exam requirements. I also encouraged them to create concise notes and mind maps, as well as to practice revision using actual or equivalent exam questions. Sometimes I also emphasized the importance of understanding over rote memorization, as students who truly understand the content are better equipped to answer questions in various forms. These methods helped me a lot in scoring my examinations. So frankly speaking, these tips are from my own experiences!
