Teacher Isya has had a valuable year as a home tuition teacher and tutor, serving students from a variety of academic backgrounds and academic levels. Through this journey, I have strived to understand the different learning styles, strengths and weaknesses of each student I teach. When I teach, I not only emphasize academic achievement, but also help students cultivate critical thinking, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Throughout this year, I have witnessed significant improvements in both my students’ academic performance and their perceptions of learning. Their test results and classroom engagement reflect this positive change. The genuine recognition and appreciation from parents also reflects this.
Teaching Method(s)
Encouraging students to take some time to relax and clear their minds before diving into a new topic is a technique I often use when teaching. I create a brief summary of the subject or notes that will be covered after they are mentally prepared. This summary serves as a guideline for the lesson, giving students a concise and structured overview of the important ideas and topics they need to understand. Students can understand the context of the lesson by starting with the summary, which makes it easier for them to follow along during the detailed explanation. After the outline, I place a strong emphasis on focused and sustained practice. I help students solidify their understanding with repeated exercises, guided examples, and interactive discussions.
