I am more fondly known as Balqis. Honestly, I do not yet have formal teaching experience, I am confident in guiding my siblings as well as my friends during revision sessions and group learning. I have helped my younger sibling as much as possible, especially in subjects where they were weak. Such experiences have strengthened my confidence in assisting students in need of guidance by delivering knowledge in a structured and easily understandable manner.

One of the achievements I remember most is being able to guide my younger sibling in Mathematics, which was the subject they struggled with the most. This required patience and a strong initiative to ensure that they could absorb the knowledge effectively.

Therefore, I believe that with the experiences I have gained, I can become a good tutor and help many students who require guidance in addition to the teaching they receive in school.

Teaching Methods I Use
1. Mind Maps
By using a variety of colours, shapes, and visual layouts, I can capture students’ attention and help them understand concepts more clearly.
2. Sharing Interesting Stories
I believe some students may feel bored with formal learning sessions. Therefore, by creating a cheerful atmosphere through storytelling, I can uplift students’ spirits and re-engage them in the lesson.
3. Q&A Sessions
Before or after the lesson, asking thought-provoking questions can challenge students’ minds and strengthen their understanding of the subject matter.
4. Short Reflective Writing
Encouraging students to write short reflections on what they have learned and how they felt after the session.
