My name is Sofea, and I am a friendly tutor with nearly one year of experience teaching primary and secondary school students. The main subjects I teach are Science and Biology. I have the ability to explain scientific concepts in a simple and understandable way, using creative teaching aids and interactive technology such as PowerPoint and digital quizzes like Kahoot and Quizizz. One of my greatest achievements is helping students who previously struggled in Science to significantly improve their performance in a short period of time.
Teaching Method(s)
In my teaching sessions, I enjoy using interactive approaches such as quiz games, educational videos, and mind maps to engage students' interest. I ensure that every student understands the topic taught through the “teach and review” technique, as well as explanations using everyday analogies. To help students score well, I teach them techniques for answering higher-order thinking questions (HOTs), creating concise notes, and managing their time during exams. This approach not only enhances students’ understanding but also boosts their confidence in answering questions more accurately and effectively.
