Hi, I’m William, and I have been teaching for more than 2 years, mainly helping teenagers from my church community through regular lessons and study camps. During this time, I’ve guided students in subjects such as Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu, and English, with a stronger focus on secondary school students as I find it rewarding to help them tackle more challenging topics. My main teaching areas are Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, while Physics is also a subject I can support students with. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple explanations, using examples that are easier to relate to, and I always try to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning pace. Over the years, I’ve also developed patience and strong problem-solving skills, which allow me to keep my students motivated even when they find the subject tough. One of my proudest achievements was seeing two of my students, who used to fail Mathematics, grow in confidence and eventually score above 80 in their Form 3 school exams after consistent learning with me since Form 2.

My teaching method focuses on understanding each student’s learning style and pace. I like to start by identifying their weak areas and then building a strong foundation before moving on to more complex topics. I use simple explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and real-life examples to make lessons easier to understand. During lessons, I encourage students to ask questions, practise with guided exercises, and learn exam techniques that can help them score better. I also believe in creating a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable to make mistakes and learn from them.
