Hi, my name is Sharifah Zainah, but please feel free to call me Zainah. I am currently pursuing my Master of Business Administration (MBA), and one of my proudest achievements is completing my double major bachelor's degree.

During my studies at Monash University Malaysia, I had the meaningful opportunity to teach refugee children. Despite language barriers, they remained highly engaged and responsive, and the experience taught me the importance of patience, clarity, and adaptability in instruction. It strengthened my ability to simplify concepts, support diverse learners, and create a positive learning environment skills. I am eager to bring into a formal tutoring role.

Techniques Used in My Teaching

Pomodoro Technique:
I used short, structured learning intervals to help students maintain focus and reduce cognitive overload especially helpful for learners who struggle with attention.

Growth Mindset Reinforcement:
I encouraged students to view challenges as opportunities to grow by praising effort, strategy, and improvement. This helped build their confidence and resilience.

Active Learning Strategies:
I incorporated interactive elements such as questioning, discussions, and simple hands-on tasks to keep students engaged and encourage deeper understanding.

Teacher Reflection Journal:
I maintained a reflective journal to evaluate what worked well and what could be improved. This allowed me to continuously refine my teaching approach.
