My name is Athirah Nafisah Binti Noorshah, and I prefer my students to call me Teacher/Miss Athi. I'm currently pursuing a Diploma in TESL, and I'm looking forward to getting experience before I go for my practicum. I have volunteered to teach English to orphans and Orang Asli in the past. I still have more to learn, but I assure you that I will try my absolute best to teach. In addition, I have joined various English competitions such as spelling bee, drama, and essay competitions. Therefore, if needed, I can always provide a little help in those fields.
Teaching Method(s)
For physical classes, I will teach using slides or a mini whiteboard. For whiteboard writing, I tend to colour-code the things I teach. I will also give worksheets suitable for their level of proficiency. Furthermore, I will incorporate online quizzes in game form to maintain interest in the subject. For online classes, just like my physical classes, I will use interactive digital tools (e.g., whiteboard, Quizizz, etc.) and games related to the subject to keep students engaged. I incorporate multimedia resources, give real-time feedback, and personalize lessons while applying active recall to strengthen memory.
