My preferred nickname is Miss Nana, and I have 6 years of teaching experience, mainly at the preschool level. I specialize in teaching English (phonics) while also teaching Bahasa Melayu (BM) and Mathematics as additional subjects. In addition to preschool, I also teach Primary Standard 1 and 2, which allows me to support students as they transition from early childhood to primary education.

I am passionate about early childhood education and strive to build a strong foundation for my students’ future learning. My special skills include developing phonics-based literacy, designing engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans, and incorporating hands-on, fun activities that suit the needs of young learners. One of my greatest achievements is guiding many preschoolers from having little to no reading ability to becoming confident early readers within a year.

I believe learning should be fun and meaningful, especially for young learners. I make lessons engaging through storytelling, songs, role-play, games, and digital tools like Kahoot! and Quizizz. To ensure understanding, I use differentiated instruction, scaffolding, and real-life examples, supported by regular assessments and hands-on activities.

For Primary 1 and 2 students, I focus on building good learning habits such as time management, note-taking, and exam techniques. By practicing past papers and developing confidence, I help them achieve academic success while keeping their love for learning alive.
