My name is Daniel, and I am a dedicated primary and secondary school tutor with a strong passion for guiding students toward academic excellence and personal growth. I have five months of teaching experience gained through my student exchange program in Chiang Rai, Thailand, and I also volunteer as a community tutor every Saturday. My main teaching focus is Mathematics, and I also teach Computer Science which allows me to adjust my lessons to suit different learning needs. I am highly skilled in using educational technology to make learning engaging, well structured, and effective. My academic journey reflects discipline and commitment to excellence. I was awarded Icon Student of Computer Science 2025 at Universiti Utara Malaysia with a current CGPA of 3.92, I am a recipient of the Yayasan Bank Rakyat Scholarship, and I achieved 8A in SPM. I believe every student has potential, and with the right guidance, encouragement, and teaching approach, they can gain confidence, improve their results, and develop a genuine love for learning.
Teaching Method(s)
I believe every student has the potential to excel, and my teaching is built to unlock that potential with clarity, patience, and care. In Mathematics, I take students through every step of a problem, showing exactly how answers are derived so that understanding becomes natural, not forced. I use diagrams and visual aids to turn abstract concepts into something they can see and imagine, making learning feel alive and achievable. In Computer Science, lessons go beyond the pages of a textbook, as I bring concepts to life through real software tools and live coding demonstrations, helping students witness the power of knowledge in action. After teaching, I guide students through practice sessions personally, supporting them until confidence replaces doubt. I train them to identify patterns in past-year and trial examination questions, equipping them to approach exams calmly and strategically. My mission is more than helping students score high marks; it is about building confidence, igniting curiosity, and nurturing a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. When students feel understood, guided, and capable, their results naturally reflect the effort, understanding, and growth we have built together.
