Hello and greetings to all,I started my journey of tutoring since 2017 and found that teaching is my passion. I love seeing my students able to understand and explain something they did not know in the beginning. For me in learning process, you must understand three major step.
First, UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT. This is where you are building your foundation (basis or groundwork) on a certain topic of a subject. When your foundation is strong, no matter how hard the question is, you will never get the concept wrong. Secondly, APPLY THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE. From my experiences, students found difficulty at this level of learning process. Most of the question in the exam will not simply ask you the basic knowledge, but how you apply them. Therefore, I will focus on teaching students on how to apply the basic so that they can confidently explain on it. Lastly, you must have the ABILITY TO EXPLAIN (write them in answer) in comprehensive way.
I had tutored at least 45 high school students (SPM and IGCSE) and 80% of them got A or at least B for Biology and Chemistry subjects. I received 96% positive feedback from students for competence and approachability.
I strongly believe, tutor and students must have a good connection because learning is a two way communication. Students must be comfortable with tutor so that they will not feel demotivated to raise up their ideas and opinions. By this, it will also sharpen their soft skills to prepare them for the next event of the life, career life.
