Teaching Method(s)
Teaching basic English grammar and sentence structure to students in years 1 to 6 is crucial for their language development. Some of my effective techniques that I use are :
▪️visual aids like diagrams to explain grammar rules.
▪️Provide examples of correct sentences to illustrate concepts to engage their attention.
▪️Using an interactive activities like sentence building games, grammar quizzes and etc.
▪️Encourage students to create their own sentences using specific grammar rules.
▪️Use texts to demonstrate how grammar works and teach them how grammar rules apply to the situations.
▪️Use an "ICE" technique especially in writing part so that the students can get some ideas in order to have good writing skills.
Each student learns differently, so I adapt these techniques based on their needs and abilities. Patience, encouragement, and consistency are key to successful in learning English language.
