I have been teaching Pendidikan Islam and Tasawwur Islam as a DG9 Education Officer at SMK Wangsa Maju Seksyen 2 since June 2020. My teaching journey includes experience as a practical teacher at SMK Bandar Sri Damansara 1 and teaching Islamic Education and Arabic Language at a private school. I've also taught Moral Education and History, which has given me a well-rounded teaching background. I'm passionate about using both traditional and digital methods to engage my students. My efforts have been recognized with awards like the Top 150 Cikgu Juara Digital 2023 and several acknowledgments for improving GPMP in Pendidikan Islam and Tasawwur Islam from 2021 to 2023. I also take pride in my contributions to co-curricular activities, earning the Outstanding Service Award for Student Affairs.Teaching Method(s)
In my Pendidikan Islam and Reading Al-Quran classes, I align my teaching closely with the KSSM syllabus for SPM to ensure students are well-prepared academically while gaining practical knowledge. I create an engaging and student-centered environment by combining traditional methods with digital tools like interactive apps, videos, and presentations, alongside Quranic texts, tafsir, and practical worksheets. Creative activities such as role-plays or comics help students grasp complex concepts in Fiqh, Aqidah, and Akhlak, while tajwid practice strengthens their Quranic recitation. I emphasize real-life applications of Islamic teachings to connect lessons to their daily lives. By blending the KSSM syllabus with modern teaching methods, I aim to help students excel in exams, deepen their understanding of Islam, and apply it meaningfully to strengthen their faith and character.Subject
