About Me

Hello! My name is Nurul Afifah, and I am passionate about education and helping students achieve their full potential. I started my academic journey with a strong foundation, achieving 5A's in the UPSR examination. This accomplishment led me to continue my studies at MRSM Muar in Johor, where I developed a deep understanding and appreciation for various subjects.

I pursued my foundation in science and later earned my degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Currently, I am advancing my knowledge by undertaking a Master's in Business Economics. My diverse educational background has equipped me with a broad and comprehensive understanding of multiple disciplines, from science and mathematics to economics and business. During my sem break, I also helped my mom to do a math tuition for secondary school students. This experience has allowed me to refine my teaching methods and develop a personalized approach to help each student succeed.

Throughout my educational journey, I have developed effective study strategies, critical thinking skills, and a passion for continuous learning. These qualities enable me to tutor students in a variety of subjects, helping them to not only understand the material but also to build confidence and achieve their academic goals.

Teaching Method(s)

One teaching method I find effective is the "Conceptual Framework" approach. It involves breaking down complex topics into concepts and builidng solid understanding step by step. I start by assessing the student's current understanding on the subect through questions and discussions. This step helps me in identifying knowledge gaps and areas that I need to assist. I use interactive methods like visual aids and real life applications to make learning engaging and relatable. This helps me see the relevants of what I am studying during my studies and will do the same to my students. I also provide practice exercises and possibly discuss it together on the next class, so that they are not left behind going forward.
