I am a passionate Math educator with 2 years of experience teaching Singapore Math (Years 1–7) and a strong foundation in Industrial Chemistry. I am skilled in adapting lesson plans for different learning styles and fostering student engagement through creative teaching methods. I am eager to contribute to high-quality math education while continuously growing in a dynamic academic environment. I am strong in the Singapore Math teaching approach, focusing on conceptual understanding, model drawing, and problem-solving, providing a solid foundation for students following international syllabi such as IGCSE, as well as KSSM students who need stronger fundamentals.
Teaching Method(s)
My teaching method is student-centred and personalised. I conduct one-to-one lessons where I first assess the student’s current understanding, strengths, and learning gaps. Based on this assessment, I create a customised lesson plan tailored to the student’s needs and pace. During lessons, I begin by clearly explaining concepts step by step, followed by guided practice where we work through examples together. After that, the student completes practice questions independently to reinforce understanding. I provide immediate feedback and adjust the lesson as needed to ensure the student fully grasps the topic.
