I had experience in tutoring students in classroom, online and personal tuition. Having 16 nephews and nieces gives me the advantage of being able to communicate and gain the children interest and attention. I am friendly towards them but firm in terms of education and morals. Children and teenagers are able to communicate with me as I approached them in a way that they are less intimidated and able to share their thoughts, feelings and concerns. I am a person who believe that there is no limit for education especially for young generation to appreciate nature through fun activities and knowledge sharing via online or face to face. Having proactive communication between tutor and student is the most important key in order to get the students have more interest and concentrate during tuition session.
Teaching Method(s)
My teaching and sharing style is through interactive communications with fun activities should be included in order to make the students have more interest in the subjects that I am tutoring. I am also using images, interesting topics, song, novels, suitable drama and movies. This method will be effective in order to make the students alert and it will be easy for us to understand their concerns on any subject or syllabus that they could not understand. It is also important as a tutor can identify what are the student's strengths and other details that needs improvement. Another technique is also by giving them quiz. It can be either a spontaneous or at the end of tuition so that they can find the answers for the next tuition session.
