My students usually call me Miss Farah. I am in my 8th year of being an English teacher for a government primary school. I graduated with Honors in Bachelor of Education TESL from IPG Kampus Pendidikan Teknik. I have been an English tutor for primary, secondary and higher level since 2016. I got C1 for CEFR Test (equivalent to Band 5 MUET). Besides that, I was also awarded Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang in my 5th year of teaching (2022).
Teaching Method(s)
I break down complex language points into manageable parts and use simple examples or analogies to aid understanding. I regularly ask guiding questions during lessons to gauge understanding and encourage students to ask questions too. Furthermore, I offer extra help for students who are struggling and provide higher-level tasks for advanced learners. Furthermore, I provide targeted exercises on common exam topics—grammar drills, comprehension practice, essay planning—and conduct regular quizzes. After each test, we go through common mistakes together so students can learn from them and avoid repeating them.
