About Me

For over a decade, I worked as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing. The precision, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills I honed during those years were invaluable. I’ve always loved math, so I pursued an electrical and electronics engineering degree at UTM Skudai in Johor. A few years ago, I started tutoring math/add math part-time, and the joy of seeing my students progress from C and B grades to A’s in their exams was incredible. It wasn’t just about the grades; it was about their confidence, their newfound understanding of mathematical concepts, and their enthusiasm for learning. Now, I’m a full-time math tutor, not only teaching academic subjects but also emphasizing mental well-being. It’s a journey of transformation, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference. In addition to tutoring, I also organize free online seminars for students, covering math and essential life skills. These sessions empower the next generation, and I’m passionate about giving back.

Teaching Method(s)

Teaching isn't just about conveying information; it's about empowering students to excel. I offer online and physical classes to cater to different student preferences. I begin each session with a simple yet powerful affirmation. It sets a positive tone and boosts students' confidence. Whether it's 'I am capable of mastering math' or 'I can tackle any problem,' these affirmations create a mindset for success. I provide concise notes for each topic summarising key concepts, formulas, and problem-solving techniques. Emphasizing understanding over rote memorization, I ensure students grasp the 'why' behind mathematical principles. Regular practice is crucial—I assign topical exercises and model exams. These mimic actual exam questions, helping students get accustomed to the format. Repetition reinforces learning, ensuring retention and familiarity with exam patterns. Additionally, I simulate exam conditions with timed quizzes, mock tests, and past-year papers. We discuss exam strategies, including time management and approaching different question types.
