About Me

Hello, I'm Durka Balasubramaniam, an experienced educator with 3 years of teaching expertise. My passion lies in imparting knowledge to both primary and secondary school students. Over the course of my career, I've developed a specialization in working with students who have mild ADHD, drawing from 2 years of dedicated experience in this area. My educational background in math and science equips me to provide comprehensive instruction in these subjects. Moreover, I'm adept at tailoring my teaching approach to accommodate different language preferences, ensuring effective learning for all students under my guidance. Currently, I am furthering my education by pursuing a second-year degree in Industrial Chemistry at UMP, Pahang, which enhances my ability to provide a well-rounded and practical perspective to my students.

Teaching Method(s)

My teaching techniques reflect a student-centered and inclusive approach that fosters engagement and understanding. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where each student's unique strengths and needs are recognized. To achieve this, I employ a variety of interactive methods such as hands-on activities, group discussions, and visual aids to cater to diverse learning styles. For students with mild ADHD, I've developed strategies that promote focus and participation, including incorporating short breaks and incorporating movement into lessons. Furthermore, I encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through real-world examples, connecting theoretical concepts to practical applications. By integrating the requested language into instruction, I ensure clear communication and comprehension for all students, making the learning journey both enriching and accessible.
