Tentang Saya

As a dedicated English teacher, my aim is to not just teach English as a second language, but to instill the passion and interest of learning English to my students. The 8 years of experience I have in teaching English had given me the advantage of teaching English to multi-aged groups. I have been teaching primary, secondary as well as college and adult students. I am also a writer who have written several English modules for learning purpose. Not only that, my passion in English and language knowledge (linguistics area) that I have allows me to not just teach English, but English for creative writing (poems and short stories). My main goal in teaching is to make sure all my students to be able to speak just as much as they can write the language autonomously. My students should be able to not just use English but to play with English words in both written and spoken.

Teknik Pengajaran

I normally use Grammar Translation Method and mostly used mind maps for my visual learners. Learning online would be challenging especially for young and adult learners. Therefore, my exercises and worksheets are mostly in online form, in which I designed myself. I believe that colour coding would also be my teaching method. For example, Tenses are the primary topic in English. Students need to understand the rules of Tenses before they are able to construct/speak the sentences. Therefore, I normally use colour coding for the words they need to change according to the type of tenses learnt. Once they know how to change the tenses, they should be able to speak the language autonomously.
