About Me

Hello! I’m Miss Alynsa. I teach and have fun with English. As I am TESL major with Technology in Education minor, my education background has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to establish relevant, meaningful and interactive lessons. I have served as a pre-service lecturer and teacher throughout my teacher-training years. I taught English to Year 4 to Year 6, Form 1 to Form 5, and also university students. I have also worked as a private tutor for almost 2 years. I love to utilise different online teaching tools to keep the class alive. Some of the tools that I use are Padlet, Google Drive, Kahoot!, Quiziz and various language games.

Teaching Method(s)

I believe that as educators to the digital natives, it is crucial to acknowledge the importance of technology in their lives. Therefore, my classes are conducted online via Google Meet. Every student will have their own portfolio containing the activities and exercises that has been done in the class. The portfolio can be accessed through Google Drive or Padlet. This will make it easier for students and parents to keep track of the class.

The focus of the lesson can be divided to skill-based or exam based lessons, catering to the students needs. Skill-based classes emphasise on the 4 skills of the English language which are Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. On the other hand, the exam based classes focus more on practice papers of the students’ upcoming exams.
