About Me

I am a molecular biologist by training with specialisation in plant disease resistance identification using comparative genome approach.

Here to provide assistance to students in need of improving conversational English (talking/listening) and writing. I used to struggle with English as a young student and remembered well various techniques that I have tried to improve my proficiency.

In addition, I have studied Biology consistently for 20 years and have presented the materials to audience from different background for almost just as long. I have formally taught scientific writing in the last four years for first year-undergraduates.

Teaching Method(s)

I believe that building your confidence and encouraging consistent practice is absolutely necessary to improving your mastery of the language. I will provide exercise materials depending on your needs and expected outcome.

I am passionate about communicating scientific materials and promote understanding of the subject. In fact, most biological processes can be simplified into diagrams and discussed metaphorically almost all the time. I believe in breaking down complex and new ideas into key points to build understanding.
