I was once an online high school English teacher for Form 4 and Form 2, and has partly taught Arts for Form 2 as well during my 3-month period of contract work.Teaching Method(s)
I am very keen to help students improve their confidence with verbal speaking, writing and understanding English.What I would do:
I would try my utmost best to engage students to have an in-depth interest with exploring English through:
- storytelling/ sharing (I believe building rapport with students will ease learning)
- conversations and encourage them to ask questions, even the irrelevant one (instill confidence in linguistic skills)
- provide keywords and acronyms (for grammars, sentence structures, etc)
For other subjects, I would strictly follow the syllabus outlined by the MOE with similar learning structure/ engagement.
