My name is Nur Diana Syahira, and I am a recent graduate of MSc in Computational Applied Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Currently, I work as an executive at an oil and gas company in Malaysia. Despite working full-time, I have always had a passion for teaching. Back during my college days, I was actively involved in volunteering to teach students mathematics during my free time.I possess excellent time management skills, as evidenced by my achievements in both studies and extracurricular activities during my college years. This dedication led me to be the recipient of the Best Student award, not only for my program but for the entire state of UiTM Negeri Sembilan campus during my undergraduate degree. Therefore, working as a tutor for additional income is something I am accustomed to.
My major is Mathematics, but I am also familiar with several programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, and R. With the knowledge and experiences I have gained, I genuinely hope to assist my students in achieving their desired results.
Teaching Method(s)
In conducting my classes, I follow a student-centric approach. Typically, students reach out to me 2-3 days prior to the scheduled class, providing me with the opportunity to prepare tailored materials. I encourage them to compile a list of questions or topics they find challenging. During the class, we delve into these questions together, ensuring a thorough understanding. This approach not only clarifies doubts but also helps students build a strong foundation in the subject.I aim to make learning enjoyable and relatable, providing students with the tools they need to succeed. Feedback is crucial, and I encourage students to share their thoughts and ask questions freely, ensuring a collaborative and effective learning experience.
