About Me
Greetings, I am Teacher Asyiqin, currently pursuing a TESL degree at the University of Sabah Malaysia (UMS) and in my final three weeks of practicum as a teacher in Kota Kinabalu. While I may be new to the world of education, my months of practicum have taught me that every student is unique and learns in their own way. Therefore, as a teacher, I will strive to cater to their individual needs during the learning process. In addition to my role as an educator, I am also a trainee in the undergraduate police volunteer organization (SUKSIS), which provides education and exposure to police training for trainees. Thus, alongside academic instruction, I will also instill motivation and moral values in my students. I believe that a positive mindset and attitude are equally valuable to education.
Teaching Method(s)
1) Conducting Fun Activities such as Games: During my practicum period, incorporating games into teaching proved to be an effective technique because it engaged students in a more interactive and enjoyable way, particularly those who did not like the subject.
Instilling Technology: During my TESL degree, I was able to find and create a game room on Roblox, which is a popular application for grammar learning.
Practice and Discuss: After creating a positive learning environment for the subject, I instructed my students to answer a set of past exam questions and discuss them together with the whole class.
