I am Cikgu Laila, a passionate and dedicated tutor with a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. With over two years of tutoring experience, I specialize in providing personalized, results-driven support to help students reach their academic potential.My journey in teaching began in high school, where I was selected to tutor students needing additional support in Mathematics. This early experience ignited my passion for education, and I have since dedicated myself to developing diverse teaching methods tailored to each student’s unique needs.
In addition to teaching local syllabi, I have successfully assisted students following the rigorous Malaysia and also Singapore curriculum at international schools, helping them achieve remarkable improvements in their grades. My goal is to continue honing my teaching skills and broadening my impact to support even more students in excelling academically.

Teaching Method(s)
From my experience, the method of teaching depends on the personality of the students. To be more interactive with students, I would ask them questions from time to time in every session of teaching. The method of learning also differs depending on which subjects I teach. For example for mathematics subjects, a lot of practice in answering the question could improve the student's understanding. On the other hand, for Science subjects, I usually train students to do their mind map interactively to increase their memories, understanding, and familiarity with the topics I am teaching. I believe that every student has different capabilities in learning. For certain students who have lower memories, I used Acronysm to help them in answering exam questions. This has improved my SPM student who failed her trial in Science Subject but passed this subject for the SPM examination.Subject
