About Me
I am Siti Aisyah, a Degree graduate in Civil Engineering with a strong foundation in Mathematics and analytical problem-solving. I have experience teaching Mathematics and Additional Mathematics to primary and secondary school students, particularly Standard 4 and SPM students, based on the Malaysian national syllabus. My academic background allows me to explain concepts clearly, in a structured and logical way, so students understand not only how to solve questions but also the reasoning behind each step. My teaching approach begins with an initial evaluation to identify the student’s strengths and weaknesses. From there, I will adjust the lesson plan accordingly, whether the student needs to strengthen basic understanding or focus on more advanced problem-solving. I am experienced in guiding weak students, including those who are struggling or have previously failed, by rebuilding their foundation step by step until they gain confidence. During class, I focus on two-way communication to ensure students are actively involved and comfortable asking questions. I adapt my teaching method based on the student’s learning style, using more examples, step-by-step explanations, and guided practice where necessary. Lessons include exercises, quizzes, and revision using past year examination papers to improve both understanding and exam performance. I prioritise focus during class time so students can fully grasp the topic without relying heavily on homework. My goal is to help students develop genuine understanding and interest in Mathematics, not just memorise methods. With consistent effort and commitment, I aim to help students improve their performance gradually and achieve better results in their examinations.
Teaching Method(s)
My teaching method involves online classes that cover all topics or focus on weak topics based on student request. The teaching approach includes various examples, exercises, quizzes, and revision using past year examination papers to ensure better understanding and exam preparation. The method starts with an initial evaluation to identify the student’s strengths and weaknesses based on the syllabus. From this, lessons will be adjusted accordingly, whether to focus on basic understanding or more detailed calculation. Teaching begins from basic mathematics knowledge and gradually moves into deeper understanding, including math symbols, terms, concepts, and applications in problem-solving. The class will be conducted in a two-way communication style where students are encouraged to ask questions and participate actively. The teaching approach will follow the student’s learning style to ensure better understanding, whether through more examples, step-by-step explanation, or repeated practice. I will guide students closely during class to make sure they are not left confused on any topic. Special focus is given to weak students, including those who previously failed, by building a strong foundation and confidence step by step. Progress will depend on the student’s commitment and consistency. With proper guidance and continuous practice during class, students are trained to improve their understanding and performance gradually. The goal is to help students develop interest in Mathematics while improving their results effectively.
