Hello respected parents, I’m Kiera, a postgraduate diploma in education student at UKM. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, majoring in Interpersonal Communication. Although I currently have no formal teaching experience, I am eager to begin and grateful for the opportunity to teach your wonderful children. I’m in the process of earning my professional qualification in education. Through this journey, I have learned a lot about different teaching methods, how to engage students’ interests, and understanding their individual characteristics. My academic background in communication and STPM focused on languages such as Bahasa Melayu, English, and basic French. My main teaching subjects will be Bahasa Melayu for SK and SMK, as well as reading for both Bahasa Melayu and English. I am also an active and expressive person, which throughout my studies, I enjoyed public speaking, choral speaking, and participating in English drama competitions. I would be more than happy to share these experiences with your children. If you are looking for someone creative and fun to guide your little ones, I believe I am a good fit for the role. As the eldest child in my family, I have been tutoring my younger siblings since kindergarten, and they are now in primary school and MRSM.
Teaching Method(s)
I lived in the era of Pembelajaran Abad Ke-21 (PAK-21), kemahiran Berfikir Aras Tinggi (KBAT) or High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and Pentaksiran Berasaskan Sekolah (PBS). I believed, every students have their own capabilities, and I will be using different types of teaching method depends on the student's progress. However, I will combined the traditional methods and student centered methods. At times, I might be using the simulation or role-play method and game based learning method to make easier understanding aside from fun and interactive for my students. I ensure you, to always implement the best and effective teaching method based on students progress.
