Greetings from Teacher Auni! I am a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed English tutor who is passionate about teaching you the wonder of language. As a recent graduate of B. Ed. (Hons.) Teaching English as a Second Language or TESL in short, I am keen to teach the English Language to primary school, and secondary school as well as to adult learners. I have experience teaching English Language in a public secondary school during my practicum. I am currently working as a home tutor and tuition teacher for students aged 5-17, teaching Kemahiran Membaca, Matematik Awal, Smart Reader, English Language, English Communication, Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics. As a TESL student, I have my fair share of conducting English language camps for primary and secondary schools, setting up language workshops to score PT3 and SPM English, as well as directing a storytelling workshop for children aged 4-12 to introduce English language and enhancing their reading and speaking skills. I also had the opportunity to work with professionals from China when I was outsourced by a local company to teach communicative Bahasa Malaysia to their clients there. With me as your tutor, I am sure we could venture outside of the conventional English lesson and apply real-life experiences!
Teknik Pengajaran
1. As a language educator, I believe in experiential learning in introducing my learners to the context of the language. I would bring games and props to classes to teach my students how to use the vocabulary and write sentences for specific situations.

2. I also love having my students voice out their opinions about the activity itself as they could polish their communication and critical thinking skills so expect many Questions and Answers (Q&A) and Presentation tasks in my lessons.

3. As creativity is a virtue, I prefer using visual techniques like mind-mapping, and showing videos and pictures, as well as interactive platforms like Padlet and Jamboard to keep my learners engaged.

4. Before starting my lesson, I would spend some time assessing my students to find out their knowledge, their proficiency level, their learning styles, and their expectations. These are all the aspects that would determine the learning materials and techniques that I would specifically cater to each of them.
