My name is Thivya, 26 years old. I have been teaching for 2 years, during which I have developed a deep understanding of how to engage students and help them achieve their academic goals. I teach both primary and secondary students. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with students of different age groups, allowing me to tailor my teaching methods to their developmental needs. I primarily teach Science, Chemistry, and Physics. In addition to my main subjects, I also teach Mathematics and English for primary students. I have strong communication skills, allowing me to explain complex topics in simple terms. My greatest achievement was helping a struggling student pass a critical exam after months of one-on-one coaching. Witnessing their growth, confidence, and eventual success was incredibly rewarding and reaffirmed my passion for teaching.Teaching Method(s)
I use a student-centered approach, ensuring that every student is actively involved in the learning process. I provide clear explanations and encourage students to ask questions, ensuring they fully understand the content. I also use practical examples and real-world situations to connect the topics to the students' experiences. I use formative assessments like quizzes to gauge student understanding and address any confusion immediately. I teach students to practice recalling information without looking at their notes, which helps strengthen memory retention. I encourage students to take practice tests to familiarize themselves with the format and develop confidence before the real exam.Subject
