Hello, I’m Teacher Anis. I graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) from Open University Malaysia (OUM). Prior to that, I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in English for Professional Communication from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), which provided me with a strong foundation in English language, communication, and professional skills. My journey in education includes teaching experience as a MySTEP teacher, where I gained valuable exposure to classroom teaching, lesson planning, and student engagement. During my PGDT practicum at a primary school, I taught English lessons, managed classrooms, assessed pupils’ progress, and trained the school’s first choral speaking team for an interschool competition. I am currently working as a tuition teacher, supporting students in improving their English proficiency, strengthening their communication skills, and building confidence in their learning. I strive to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate, learn, and grow. I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential and making English learning both meaningful and enjoyable.

I apply interactive techniques such as language games, quizzes, and the use of visual/audio materials to make lessons more engaging and enjoyable. To ensure students truly understand, I use a student-centered approach by giving step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and using oral questioning and formative assessments to check comprehension. To help students score well, I emphasize exam-focused practice such as answering past-year or model questions, teaching effective answering strategies, and providing detailed feedback for improvement.
