My name is Noor Asniza. You can just call me Jaja. I am a graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in English for International Communication and have a strong foundation in the English language. I am currently working as Customer Service Executive at KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital, where I interact with people from various races/nationalities and sharpen my English communication and writing skills daily. I may not hold an official teaching certificate, but previously I worked part-time as a Private Tutor at Aisyah Tuition Centre, Ulu Tiram, where I taught Year 1 to Year 3 students core subjects (BM, English, Math, and Science). I assisted students in understanding lessons and key concepts aligned with their school textbooks, prepared additional study materials and tests to enhance students’ understanding, and provided positive and constructive feedback for students’ future improvements.

I trust in my ability to teach both primary and secondary school students, particularly in English writing and speaking. During my studies, I completed core language courses such as English Syntax, Grammar, Phonetics, and Phonology, all of which have equipped me with the skills to guide students effectively.

Among my proudest academic achievements are scoring 10A’s in SPM, being consistently recognized on the Dean’s List (Anugerah Dekan) every semester, and graduating with First Class Honours. I am passionate about education and eager to help students build their confidence and competence in English.

To make learning engaging and effective, I apply a variety of interesting techniques in my lessons. I often incorporate interactive learning such as games, quizzes, role-playing, and storytelling to make the class more enjoyable and less intimidating—especially when it comes to improving English communication and writing skills.

To ensure students understand the lessons, I use a student-centered approach. This includes breaking down complex topics into simpler parts, using real-life examples, and encouraging open discussions so students feel comfortable asking questions. I also apply visual aids, mind maps, and guided notes to help visual learners.

For students to score well, I focus on exam techniques such as understanding keywords in questions, time management during tests, and answering using proper structure (e.g., using PEEL: Point, Evidence, Explanation, Link for writing tasks). I also provide past year paper practices, personalised feedback, and targeted revision based on students’ weak areas.

Above all, I try to make students feel confident in their learning by providing encouragement and fostering a positive learning environment.
